A central theme of the panel was the evolving role of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), with Jon contributing insights on how the function must continue to adapt in order to remain effective. He emphasised that today’s CRO must move beyond traditional risk oversight to become a strategic partner to the business—anticipating emerging threats, enabling informed decision-making, and helping organisations build resilience in the face of ongoing change.
